Stephen Pusey became involved in music at an early age and after an unsuccessful attempt at the violin, took up the flute.
Later, he began to take an interest in singing, performing with the Royal Opera both in London and on tour in the Far East and went onto study singing at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Most of his past conducting work has focused on choral and vocal music, including Vivaldi’s Gloria, Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas and Gilbert and Sullivan’s Trial By Jury.
Stephen has directed musicals for the Cranbrook Operatic and Dramatic Society. These include The Merry Widow, Guys and Dolls, Me and My Girl, Anything Goes and The King and I.
When not rehearsing he spends much of his spare time composing and arranging music for singers and choral groups.
